Restaurant Photographer

I had the pleasure to photograph the beautiful Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth. Nestled just a few minutes walk from the centre of this charming town. It’s always nice to escape the city for a day, especially when it involves working in such a lovely location.

When I am requested to photograph a hotel or a restaurant, I typically visit the premises beforehand to scout out the location. This preliminary visit allows me to familiarise myself with the layout and ambiance of the space. Ensuring that I can capture its essence effectively. I find this approach makes the shoot of the day go much quicker. As I already have a plan in mind for the best angles and focal points to highlight. I photograph all aspects of a hotel or restaurant business. Ranging from the exteriors to the interiors, food and staff. 

My Creative Approach to Restaurant Photography

During my shoots, I make it a priority to photograph every room from all four angles. This thorough approach not only provides a good range of photographs. Also showcasing your property at its very best. I utilise a mixture of artificial and natural light. To create images that are both vibrant and inviting. I prefer to photograph in a light and airy way. This technique helps to enhance the property’s appeal while maintaining a natural look. Ultimately, my aim is to present your establishment in a manner that attracts potential customers and reflects the unique character of your business. By combining careful planning with a keen eye for detail, I ensure that the final images truly represent the quality and atmosphere of your hotel or restaurant.

When I photographed food, I approached it with a careful blend of techniques. I set up my shots by a window, utilising natural light to capture the essence of the dishes. To enhance the visual appeal, I incorporated a small amount of artificial light. Which added that extra little pop of light that makes food photography truly captivating. I like to present food in a light and airy way. Showcasing it at its very best while still maintaining a sense of authenticity.

After photographing  each dish, the hotel offered me a tasting of each dish. I can truly say that it is some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. So the Glenroyal Hotel’s restaurant is a must for anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience.

Finally the hotel was delighted with the pictures. Which is always one of the most rewarding aspects of my work in photography.
