Food Photography for Deliveroo
It was great fun working as a food photographer for Deliveroo inspired by the Netflix series Stranger Things. Deliveroo and Brother Hubbard have collaborated to create Eggo Waffles in a tribute to the 80’s sci-fi show. This new delicious creation will be available exclusively on the app on July 4th.
Fans were able to choose from a variety of Stranger Things and Eggo Waffles-inspired creations at Brother Hubbard today for one day only. So head on over to Brother Hubbard’s on Capel Street for delicious treats. Among the favourites are their peanut & jelly waffle sandwich or a dark waffle topped with buttermilk fried chicken.
Thanks to Lorna Gardiner at H+A Marketing PR for all her help on the day. We shot this at a table in the corner of Brother Hubbard. So there were no fancy situations involved in the creation of this food photography.
My years at The New York Times when I was living in New York and working as a food photographer taught me how to create artistic food photography in almost any situation.
As a food photographer I like to photograph food in natural, soft light so it looks at it’s most appetising. We had very nice natural light to work with at Brother Hubbards. If natural light is not available on a food photography shoot I will use artificial light but mix it with the existing light so that it does not look too artificial or harsh.
